The Camellia City 500 Club, a women’s bowling club, is a non-profit charitable organization that was founded in 1969. To be a member, you must be a member of the United States Bowling Congress and have bowled a three (3) game series of 500 or more during a recent sanctioned league play or a certified tournament.
Various organizations, Veterans and their families, the Sacramento Youth Scholarship Fund and needy families within the community have received and continue to receive donations from our club. Non-perishable goods are collected monthly and given to a local food bank. Each year we support the Toy For Tots drive at Christmas time.
The income of the club is the result of annual membership dues, raffles, and monthly tournaments among club members. We travel to various bowling establishments in the Sacramento area each month to compete. Once a year we host a 2 day tournament in Reno, Nevada.
The purpose of the 500 Club is to provide social and charitable activities, competitive events and other functions related to bowling.
